George Barr McCutcheon was an American novelist and playwright. He is best known for his novel, Brewster’s Millions, which has been adapted into several films and stage productions. The story follows Montgomery Brewster, a man who inherits a large sum of money but must spend it all within a year to inherit an even larger fortune. McCutcheon’s other works include The Sherrods and Graustark.
