Emma Donoghue – Room
Emma Donoghue is an acclaimed Irish-Canadian writer born on October 24, 1969, in Dublin, Ireland. She is best known for her novel “Room” (2010), which was inspired by the harrowing real-life story of Elisabeth Fritzl and her children and became an international bestseller. The novel won several awards, including the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize and the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book.
