Clive Staples Lewis, known as C.S. Lewis, was born on November 29, 1898, in Belfast, Ireland. He was a prolific writer and scholar, best known for his works of fiction, especially “The Chronicles of Narnia” series. Lewis was deeply interested in fantasy, mythology, and Christian theology, which heavily influenced his writing. He was also a close friend of J.R.R. Tolkien, author of “The Lord of the Rings,” and part of the informal literary discussion group known as the Inklings. Lewis is considered one of the greatest Christian apologists of the 20th century, known for works like “Mere Christianity” and “The Screwtape Letters,” which explore and defend Christian beliefs.
